How many of you lovely lot love podcasts? I adore them. I find them a way to learn and explore different topics and points of view on things that interest me. They’re also super accessible and easy to get into. I mostly listen to mine when I’m walking somewhere, or when I’m doing housework as I can play them and listen as I go. Today I wanted to share with you some of my all time favourite podcasts, and if you’re looking for a new podcast to listen to hopefully you can find a new favourite in this list.
My first podcast is called Getting Lippy with, this podcast only has two episodes however it is great. It is ran by the lovely Imogen from Imogenation who talks about life topics such as mental illness and problems as well as many other things which relate to you and I. It is a great one for all ages as it is language appropriate and is topical so that you can really feel like you’re getting advice from a friend. This week she had a special guest on her podcast, Soph from SophDoesNails, and they talked about the struggles of anxiety and how they are starting to deal with it. This is great as it helps people feel less alike in their problems and may give them useful advice.
My second podcast I love is called Stories About Autism, this one caters more to my professional side as I work with children some of whom do have additional needs such as autism. I’ve talked about Stories About Autism before in my Follow Friday post and I would love to talk about them again. This podcast is ran by a dad of two boys who have autism, this podcast not only talks about this families experiences with autism but it also has special guests such as other parents, professionals and education professionals giving multiple different view points and experiences. It is a really interesting podcast to look into if you are an educator, know anybody with autism or just want to learn more.
My third podcast recommendation is called As For Me And My House by Milena and Jordan Ciciotti. This podcast has been a blessing to me and has slowly become my all time favourite podcast, I look forward to Wednesdays now because I know that I will get another incredible episode. This podcast is a Christ centred podcast which has talked about topics such as sex, marriage, bible studies and finding your purpose in life. I find this podcast a great tool to help me on my journey of faith and it gives me a new perception on different topics of life with Christ at the centre of it. I have talked about Milena before on my blog and my Instagram because she is a big role model of mine, she has shown me that I can be a multidimensional person who isn’t just a blogger, a beauty lover, an early years educator, a Christian but I am all of that. She has shown me I can be who I am and still follow Christ. So this podcast gets a 5 star rating from me!
The next podcast I want to tell you about is Hillsong London, this podcast is also a Christian podcast however it is different from As For Me And My House as it is a collection of sermons given at the Hillsong London church. If you feel like you want to learn more about the Lord and listen to some sermons on different verses and topics then go and check it out. I find it great for quiet times as it gives me some variety on topics, and if I feel like something has been put on my heart I can search these podcasts for it so I can learn and better myself. This podcast allows me to bring church to me so that I can listen and learn even though my life doesn’t always permit it in person.
Another podcast I would love to tell you about is the PLT: Behind Closed Doors podcast, this one is run by one of the girls at Pretty Little Thing and she interviews different influencers and ambassadors for the brand. This podcast is so interesting to me as I can learn about different peoples stories and struggles, it can be people I follow or people I don’t know about but I love hearing about them. It’s such an interesting concept of listening to interviews and learning more about them.
My last podcast of the post is called Bought and Beloved, this podcast is by the motivational speaker Kirby Minnock who travels around the world inspiring people using the gospel. She takes different verses and stories from scripture to help inspire and relate to peoples lives, which I find amazing. It is something that I need and love to have in my life, whenever I feel lost this is something that will always make me feel inspired and determined.
That’s it guys, my favourite podcasts at the minute! If you have any favourite podcasts do leave them down below with a little description about them and I will check them out. Thank you so much for reading today and I hope to see you around these parts again soon!
