#MakeUpMondays// Full face of cream make up on OILY skin//

Hello there my fellow beauty lovers, welcome back to #MakeUpMondays! How are we feeling about this series? I am LOVING it because I can write about beauty/makeup in one post a week and then about literally ANYTHING else I want in the other. It makes me so so happy!! Anyways today I’m gonna be testing out a full face of cream products on my oily/combination skin! Yes you heard me right ONLY cream products on OILY skin. I too want that natural beach ready glowing make up look with my oilier skin type and so I want to try out only cream products to see how they wear on a regular day of make up wearing! This wear test will be without any touch ups accept for on the lips and without powdering just to see how these products do on my skin but if I was wearing these products normally I would powder parts of my face and probably touch up whenever I can.

A little bit of insider information for you my skin is oily in the t zone (nose, forehead and sometimes chin) and is pretty normal else where. However I do have texture on my face which I find powder just makes it worse and creams look 100000 times better on.

In this post today I will be showing you the look, all of the products I have used and then I will do check ins every few hours to show you how it is all wearing on my skin. I want to test this out for you so you don’t have to! Let’s get into the face shall we?

For the base make up I used the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Primer in my T Zone to help mattify me throughout the day and also to blur out my horrendous crater pores. After I let that settle into my skin for a few minutes I applied two dabs of the L’Oreal More Than Concealer in the shade 322 Ivory onto the centre of my face and blended it out all over my face (avoiding my eye lids) using the Blank Canvas F20 foundation brush. Once that was buffed in I applied some cream bronzer in the form of the Revolution Fast Bass Foundation stick onto the back of my hand and blended it onto the perimeters of my forehead, on my cheekbones and slightly under my jawline using the Bare Minerals mini Smoothing Face Brush. Once I blended that in I went over the edges of the concealer and bronzer with my foundation brush and tapped out any harsh lines so that it was meshed and well blended. I then applied some of the Colourpop Blush Stix in Under Pressure on to the back of my hand and applied it to my cheeks using the Real Techniques 200 Expert Face Brush. I applied the blush to the higher part of my cheeks and right back to my bronzer to give it a more natural and cohesive look. After the blush I applied my highlight which was the Colourpop Super Shock Cheek highlight in the shade Flexitarian. This is a super bright and beautiful highlight which adds a glow to the skin. I used my finger to apply this to the top of my cheek bones, above the brow and around the tip of my nose. My final step is to spray my face with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray which has been my ultimate favourite spray for keeping my make up in place. That is the base done!

For the eyes I curled my lashes using my Primark Lash Curler and applied one coat of the L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll which I RAVE about in My June favourites. This made my lashes blacker and fuller but without being clumpy or spidery. Then once the lashes were done I ran the Benefit Gimme Brow in shade 3 through my eyebrows, then I used the spoolie brush on the end of my Revolution Pro Microblading Precision Eyebrow Pencil in Soft Brown to brush my brown hairs up and fluff them out some more. Then I filled in any sparse areas of the brow using the pencil and finally brushing through them with the brush again. To finish off my eyes I used the SoSu x KeilidhMUA SK07 Brush to apply some of the Flexitarian highlight to the inner corner and brow bone.

Finally for lips I decided to go for a bold statement lip as I have done very minimal on eyes so I used the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Call Me Crazy to line my lips and then I used the Colourpop x Kathleen Lights Ultra Satin Lip in Rêver. This orange lip combo is gorgeous and is my favourite so far!

This is how the make up is looking straight after application at 10am. I will go about my day and I will check in every few hours to show you how it is wearing!

12pm:

It’s now been two hours since doing my make up and I wanted to update you on how it’s looking. I have just been cleaning and decluttering this morning so I haven’t been outside yet. There is very minimal change but I still wanted to show you how it is wearing. As you can see the concealer has worn off around my nose the slightest bit due to where my glasses sit but if I’m honest that happens with or without powder and it isn’t something that bothers me. I wear my glasses 90% of the day so really I don’t care about the slight wear, I only usually take them off for sleeping, showering or taking pictures. The blush, bronzer and highlight are still there and my skin looks natural but enhanced.

2pm:

We’re at the four hour mark now and I’ve been a bit more active in the past two hours. So I’ve walked across town and did a food shop and it was warm outside which is what usually triggers my oiliness. I have also eaten for the first time since I applied the look and so my lips are looking less than perfect. However the bronzer, blush and highlight are still very there and haven’t faded much at all which is nice to see since Blush is usually what fades first.I’ve also had no transfer from my mascara which I’m surprised with especially because I haven’t set my face AT ALL and because I’ve been coughing loads which has caused my eyes to water a bit. I’ve also been playing around with learning how to apply fake lashes which have caused my eyes to water a tad.

4pm:

  • I have now had my make up on for 6 hours and it is still looking really good considering I have ZERO powder products on my face! My blush, bronzer and highlight are still present on my face and honestly just look like a part of my skin. My natural oils are obviously coming through onto my forehead and nose areas but that is to be expected, the only noticeable wear on my skin is in fact on my nose where my glasses sit but once again that’s okay. The past two hours I have been lying or sitting down reading a book and some blog posts so I have been touching my face against my hands and other surfaces and the wear (if any) is very natural and unnoticeable which is nice.
  • 6pm:

This is my final update of the wear test as I have been wearing this make up for 8 hours. I’m not gonna lie to you it looks amazing considering I have only cream products on my oily skin in the summer. I’ve loved wearing this look and these products have worn so well over the day. I don’t think I will keep up just using cream products throughout summer but I can imagine it being good in winter. I personally have loved this look and these products today that I’m gonna be using them in different ways in more looks!

Now that my friends is my full face of cream products on my oily skin and my 8 hour wear test of these cream products! What do you guys think? I hope this has helped you with your quest for great long lasting products!

Thank you so much for reading today and I hope to see you around these parts again soon!

    2. Your makeup looks absolutely flawless and your skin looks so radiant and healthy. I’m so impressed that this lasted all day on you without fading or sliding off the face, but I agree that I love how creme products look on the skin compared to powder. Everything just looks more natural. Love how you provided updates and photos detailing how this wore throughout the day.
