This year I decided to treat myself to a beauty advent calendar, I have seen them all over everyone’s socials last year and I wanted to be able to have something to cheer me up every morning in December. Especially since this holiday season is gonna be a pretty fucking rough one. Yes it is quite a materialistic way to make me smile but I can manage to smile every morning I’ll take that as a win. Anyways, if you are interested in what is this years Glossy Box advent calendar then keep reading!
*disclaimer IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS IN THIS CALENDAR DO NOT READ THIS POST AS IT WILL SPOIL IT ALL FOR YOU*

RRP: £16 and this is a full sized product.
Day 2: 2nd December
You will get a sample or travel size of the Chloé Nomade Eau de Parfum, this claims to smell like oak moss, cherry plum and freesia. I personally love the smell of it as it is the perfect balance of sweet, floral and fresh, I think this is perfect for someone who’s moving away from VS body sprays and into adult perfumes as its not too strong nor too florally. In you calendar you get a deluxe sample sized which is perfect to trial the perfume or to use as a travel perfume.
RRP: Deluxe sample size: £7.20
RRP: Full sized: £85
Day 3: 3rd December
You will receive a Glossybox own brand Blending sponge, this sponge looks like the real techniques miracle complexion sponge and the Colourpop blending sponge in shape and size. It is quite a dense sponge when it is dry but when it is dampened it grows double the size and gets so much softer. I can imagine it be great for foundation as it is a material which wont absorb too much product and give it a really flawless finish. This sort of sponge is a beauty essential to receive, especially since you should be replacing your sponges every month or so.
RRP: £10 and this is full sized.
Available on Glossybox
Day 4: 4th December
In the fourth box there is a Nudestix Cream Lip and Cheek Pencil, this pencil comes in the shade Mystic which is a pale violet rose colour. This can be used on the lips and cheeks which will help you get the most gorgeous natural monochromatic look. This pencil is super creamy and beautiful for the multi-tasking role it can take in your makeup routine. Nudestix has only just come to the UK on Cult Beauty, Selfridges and Look Fantastic and so if you’ve wanted to try the brand but unsure what to buy you can try this and see what you think. I mean this RRP is £20.50 which is a quarter of the cost of the calendar so if you only like this and a few more products it would be worth it for you!
RRP: £20.50 and this is a full sized product.
Day 5: 5th December
Box number 5 contains a Body Shop Hand and Nail cream in either Mango, Strawberry, Almond and Argan Oil. These hand creams are a bag essential especially during the winter months and all of these scents are iconic to The Body Shop so I can imagine people being happy with any one they get. They’re so Hydrating and a perfect gift to get in a beauty advent calendar. I personally got the Mango one which is such a gorgeous tropical scent and contains oils to keep my hands moisturiser.
RRP: £5 and this is a full sized product.

RRP: Full Size: £21
Day 12: 12th December
In this box you’ll get the Winky Lux Uni-Brow which is a universal brow pencil. This pencil claims to cover all bases in terms of colour, so for darker brows you just add more pressure and for lighter brows you do the opposite. This pencil is a thicker size, like the Goof Proof from Benefit, and has a spoolie on the other end of it. I don’t really own many brow pencils and so I’m really excited to try this out!
RRP: £15 and this is a full sized product.
Day 13: 13th December
In this box you will receive the Dr Dennis Gross Skincare Professional Grade IPL Dark Spot Concentrated Serum. This serum is designed to get rid of dark spots and discolouration in the skin by using L-ascorbic acid, lactic acid and liquorice root, as well as improving tone and texture of the skin. Dr Dennis Gross is a brand which I’ve admired from afar and so I was so excited to see this in the calendar, I am obsessed with skincare right now (check My Current Affordable Skincare Routine (Morning and Night) if you’d like to see HOW obsessed I am) so this product is very very exciting. I don’t have masses of dark spots or discolouration but any spots I do get seem to scar so this will come in handy in regards to clearing up my skin over the festive season.
