‘Tis the season to be partying hard and sparkling from head to toe! So today I wanted to show you my Christmas party look so you have some more inspiration on looks for all Christmas occasions!
For my Christmas Look I went for a gold eye and read lip, this may seen generic but for me its what I felt the most beautiful in and it matched my dress perfectly. So here is the details on what I did and what I used.
For the eyes:
On my eyes I used my concealer to prime my eyes as it blocks out any discolouration on my lids and also gives the shadow a good tacky base to stick to. The palette I used for this look was the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Armed and Gorgeous, this palette is full of gorgeous warm browns, oranges and golds which are perfect for Christmas parties. I blended Smooth Criminal and Prowl into the crease with a fluffy blending brush. I then blended Prowl onto the outer corner and patted coin onto my lid. Once I blended all of that and made it as seamless as I could, I put VIP on my inner corner and on the brow bone. To finish off my eyes I curled my lashes using the Doll Beauty Lash Curler and added my Essence Volume Stylist Lash Extension mascara. I also ran my Benefit Gimme Brow in shade three and the Benefit 24Hour Brow Setter.
For the face:
I primed my face using the ELF Poreless Putty Primer in the centre of my face and the Colourpop Pretty Fresh HA Primer over the rest of my face, this meant that I could eliminate my pores and also keep my face hydrated. The foundation I decided to wear for my Christmas party makeup was the MAC Face and Body foundation in C1, I rubbed it between my fingers to warm and thicken it up and then rubbed it into my face to make sure it sank into my skin. I used the Revolution Beauty Conceal and Hydrate concealer in 3.5 to conceal my under eyes and slightly highlight my face. To bronze up my face I blended the Fenty Beauty Shady Biz Bronzer around the perimeters of my face and on my cheek bones. My favourite step in my routine is blush, and I used the MUA Blushed Liquid Cream Blush in Tango Taupe which is a more neutral blush shade as I wanted to keep all of the focus on the lips. I highlighted using the Benefit Cookie highlight which is the most gorgeous, blinding and fine highlight. Cookie is a highlight which can be veiled on very lightly or can be really packed and blended on to be as blinding as possible, and both options are perfect for Christmas party makeup. I also set my under eyes with the Lottie London Loose Translucent Ready Set Go Powder so that it lasted and my mascara didn’t smudge onto my wet concealer. I also set my entire face with the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray.
For my lips:
I wore the Revolution Beauty Matte Liquid Lip in Destiny which is the most gorgeous red lip with a lovely comfortable formula so it’ll last all night but won’t feel so dry and cracky. On top of that throughout the night I would put on the Lime Crime Wet Cherry Gloss In Tangy Cherry to keep the colour comfortable and topped up all night.
That was my 2019 Christmas party look, do let me know below how you feel about it! What is you go to Christmas look?
