#12DaysOfBlogmas// The Plan For My Blog in 2020

Welcome to the penultimate post of 2019’s #12DaysOfBlogmas and if you have missed the other ones then I’ll leave them here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here

On 25th November at 1:24am I wrote out a ‘manifesto’ for my blog, and I decided I’m going to completely rebrand my blog. I am going to be getting a new name, a new logo, a new upload plan and a new leash of life. My life has completely changed in 2019 and so I am going to be starting a complete new season of life in 2020 which to me feels right to apply to all aspects of my life. I’m hopefully going to be starting university in September and so it’s going to be a big change in my life which means I’m going to have new priorities and also new perspectives to come at life with. This means that my content also needs to evolve with me. I want my blog to be something I’m really proud of and I want to use it to get my voice out there. Writing has always been and always will be a passion I hold so strongly, it is a privilege I have and I want to use it to the best of my ability. I want to use it I educate and also to entertain. I want to connect with people and share what I learn throughout the year. I will do a proper rebranding post in January to share it all with you but right now I just want to talk through my new plan and also ask you guys a few quick questions to give me some feedback.

My plan is to still upload on my blog twice a week, I want to spread out the content so that it all isn’t beauty or lifestyle. I want to create interesting and educational content which I enjoy creating and I’m proud of. I have a series coming up which is more based upon topics and opinions than facts, but it is something I’m serious about and proud to create. It allows me to create conversations around these topics and issues and also lets me share more parts of my story as I go. I also want to involve others and share their content on my blog too, I want to interview people and give them a voice to say what they need to say. I want to do more inspirational posts so I will be doing a ‘diary entry’ style post every month talking about things which are relevant to the month I am having. I will be doing a monthly favourites post every single month to discuss things in my life that I am loving and this will cover a whole host of aspects of my life. I will also be doing updates on my beauty no buy and talk about issues surrounding that, if you want to learn more about that then read my #12DaysOfBlogmas// My Makeup Inventory and How I’m Going To Cut It Down post.

What you can expect from my blog:

  • 2 specially curated blog posts every week
  • One ‘diary entry’ post a month
  • A monthly favourites post on the last Friday of the month
A new series (more on that to be confirmed closer to the time)
I will be doing bi monthly ‘shop my stash’ type posts where I will be sharing the makeup I’m exclusively using in them two weeks and also be talking about my no buy.

So that is what to expect from my blog next year and I hope that this post and you guys can keep me accountable to that. I love what I do here and I want to just grow and get better as a person and as content. Are you making any changes to your blog in 2020? If so what are they? Let’s have a chat down below!

Thank you so much for reading today and I hope to see you around these parts again soon. If you’ve enjoyed my recent content then please leave me a like, comment and follow so I know! Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest which are all left down below.

  1. The change you have in mind sounds amazing and I’m super excited to see your finished rebrand. It’s important to write about what you love and what your passionate about, it sounds like you found out what that is for you and I can’t wait to actually read it all.

I’m busy with changing my blog right now too. Not really rebranding though, but I felt like Beautymone needed to grow with me too – just like what you said in your post. I struggled for a while with what I wanted to provide people and I also wasn’t sure about my brand design – it all was a bit chaotic in my opinion. So I have tons of ideas which I’m working on right now. 🙂
