In early December I treated myself to the Morphe Armed and Gorgeous palette, this palette contains all orange/brown/yellow and green toned shadows which are my favourite colours in the whole world. It was only £15 and was a palette I have coveted for a while. Yes there are some drama surrounding Morphe and Jaclyn Hill but I am not here for that, I am here for the gorgeous palette and to share how I honestly feel about it. So let’s get into all of the information and my personal feelings.
The Elephant In The Room…
In June 2018, Morphe collaborated with Jaclyn Hill once again, it was her vault collection which was a collection of shades that she said didn’t make the cut in her first palette with them. It came in four different more monochromatic palettes which could be bought as a bundle or individually. This was quite well received by the internet and was a really interesting concept to come out. However it was pulled from shelves and the public was informed that they were repressing all palettes due to inconsistency of quality which was shown in the original reviews of the beauty influencers. This left a sour taste in people’s mouths and caused a lot of speculation about Morphe and Jaclyn.
Back to now…
I bought this December 2019 and so to me that issue was in the past and hopefully wouldn’t effect me. I’ve heard amazing things over the past year about this palette and I really needed a gorgeous grungy autumn inspired palette to brighten up my life at a pretty affordable cost. It was only £15 in the UK and could be even cheaper with using a Morphe Affiliate code. I have been really testing this palette out and have been using it regularly to really get a feel of the palette.
Before I get into my thoughts though, I want to include swatches of the colours so you can see what they look like on my pale skin tone.

My thoughts and feelings..
Despite the fact that there is only 10 shades in this palette, I have actually created some diverse and different looks quite easily. I’ve managed to still be inspired after a few months of using it which is amazing, it is a colour scheme I know works with my skin tone, eye colour and preferences so it is an almost perfect palette for me. Personally I don’t like basing my thoughts on something on my first impressions because I just never know if I’m using it properly based upon the formula, so I’ve had a decent amount of time to test this palette. So when I found a few of the shades less impressive than others I knew I needed to finesse the formula more to really get the best use out of the palette. Sometimes the green can become patchy if it is blended out too much or is layered too much, however this is due to colour that it is and how hard it is to formulate a perfect grungy pond green. I’ve found that all of the shades work well together and the colours are so satisfying together. The matters are pigmented and blendable which is the best combo and the shimmers are gorgeous. It’s a great palette especially for the price and if it is something you’re interesting I don’t think you’d be disappointed. I’m not too into the Morphe formula or brand but I love these colours and think they’re a better quality than I’ve heard. My only gripe with the palette is the fact that the yellow is a bit too deep for my liking as I cannot use it in my inner corner but I don’t mind as it’ll work a bit better in deeper and less represented skin tones.
