I received a decent amount of beauty products in December and so I wanted to document it all in this post. One big reason I want to write this post is to show you guys what products I have got to use and if you want any recommendations/reviews/looks on here you can see what I have to work with. I also want to show myself everything that I have so that I can be accountable to use them up. Anyways with that said here is everything I got in December!
Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Armed and Gorgeous vault palette
I got this palette early December and I am absolutely loving it. It is my favourite colour scheme of a smaller palette and it is just something I adore. I have really enjoyed the formula so far and still finding new combinations that I love.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
I needed a new facial moisturiser and I’ve heard amazing things about this one so I bought it. It’s a smaller size of the product but I’m loving it so much that I actually bought a gift set from First Aid Beauty with some more of their moisturise products with a gift voucher I found from my birthday!
First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
This was an add on to an order I made online because I needed a new cleanser to stay at my boyfriends flat so I didn’t have to carry my usual one back and forth. It’s a nice cleanser but it is a foaming one and not a cream or oil (which I prefer) so once I use it up I won’t be repurchasing it.
Glossier Future Dew Oil-Serum Hybrid
I made a Glossier order on Black Friday because there was 30% off on their website and I’ve been eyeing a few things up these past few months. I started following the wonderful Katie Jane Hughes on Instagram a month or two ago and she has been RAVING about the Future Dew, it is a product which is hydrating but also adds an oily type shine to the face without making the face producing more oil. It is my perfect product for makeup or no makeup days! So when it was 30% off but also in a discounted gift set I knew I had to get it. I’ve been adoring it and use it mixed with tinted moisturiser, on bare skin or also on top of makeup as a dewy highlighter.
Glossier Stretch Concealer in G11
This concealer is the most hydrating and natural coverage concealer I’ve ever tried and I love it. I sometimes use it as a more concentrated concealer or as a foundation because it has a beautiful finish and the amount of coverage I usually love. I have been using it on days where I Wear less eye makeup and it makes the skin look so natural and flawless.
Glossier Boy Brow in Clear
2019 has been the year of brows for me, I’ve never used anything in my brows until this year. My favourite brow products are brow gels and I have heard such amazing things that I really wanted to try the Boy Brow, so when I saw it in a set with future dew and the balm dot com in the sale I knew this was my chance to try it out. So I opted for the clear one because I don’t need a tinted brow gel because I have pretty full and dark brows myself.
Glossier BalmDotCom in Mango
I’m always on the hunt for a good lip balm and the BalmDotCom is so well known for being a great one. I wanted to try out the mango flavour as it is the newest one and the one which jumped out at me the most. It came in the discounted set so I could try it at a cheaper price which was great. I have been using it for a few weeks now every night and really enjoy using it.
Colourpop x KathleenLights So Jaded eyeshadow palette
I have been LUSTING after this palette ever since it came out but it was never the right time for me to buy it as I either didn’t have the money or it was out of stock. So when I got it in the Black Friday sale for $27 down from $35 I was really excited. It is such a gorgeous and inspiring colour scheme and I have created so many beautiful looks with it so far. Don’t you worry the review will be coming soon👀
Colourpop Coco Loco Lippie Scrub
Alongside a beautiful lip balm I need a great lip scrub, I always wake up with flakey lips and this is something I need to keep by my bed. It’s a coconut flavoured sugary scrub which is amazing and a nice pick me up first thing in the morning.
Colourpop Blur Lux Lipstick in 21 Questions
I saw this colour swatched on Instagram and added it to my cart ASAP. It is the most beautiful red toned brown which I adore and is a really blurred formula. I have actually used this on the eyes, cheeks and lips for a monochromatic look as well as in more dramatic or natural applications. It’s a stunning lipstick and will get plenty of use in the coming year.
Colourpop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Concealer in Light 45W
I’ve been adoring the whole Pretty Fresh Range, as seen here, and I wanted to grab the concealer too to see if it’s just as good. Update: it really is. It’s the first concealer I’ve bought that is truly as yellow toned as I like and covers amazingly without being too cakey. I enjoy using it for Foundation or just as a concealer with the corresponding base line or others too. It’s amazing and can’t wait to keep using it.
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
Over the past few years I’ve heard so much about the Butter Bronzer and I finally caved and bought it. I’m still testing it so I don’t have any thoughts as of yet but it is in my makeup bag being tested as we think.
Lottie London Freckle Tint
I am madly in love with AnnieCherryMakeup on Instagram (go and check her out!!!) and she does the most beautiful faux freckles that I want to have everyday of my life. She has been using this Lottie London Freckle Tint recently and I have loved it so much. It creates such gorgeous ‘natural’ freckles and is so easy to use. I’ve used it in a lot of more natural looks and it’s a great addition to my collection.
Colourpop x Kathleen Lights Pressed Powder Blush in So Retrograde
I am a blush bitch. Blush is my THING. So when I saw Kathleen Lights came out with this bright orange blush with Colourpop I knew I needed it. It adds a gorgeous warmth to the skin and has a nice sheen to it, it’s stunning and works so well on more natural or glam days. I just love it so much.
Peaches and Cream Pigment Trio in Pink Panther, Fantasy and Gatsby
I have been eyeing up these pigments for a while now and decided in December I would support the small business that is Peaches and Cream. So I ordered three pigments and four brushes and I adore every single item. The pigments are great for the eyes, face and nails, and the brushes are my everyday staples now. So I highly recommend!
Peaches and Cream Brushes Bundle with PC06 (Wide Flat Foundation Brush), PC22 (Tapered Mini Blender Brush), PC31 (Small Detail Brush) and PC47 (Petite Fluffy Brush)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Palette
When I was in Edinburgh at the end of December I nipped into T.K Maxx for some last minute presents, and in there I found the ABH Riviera palette on sale for £24.99 instead of £46. I have wanted this palette since it released but I couldn’t bring myself to pay over £40 for it, so when I saw it on sale I snatched it up. This is going to be my last palette purchase of 2019 and of the first half of 2020 too.
For Christmas I received the
E.L.F x Nabela Noor Brush Set
This brush set was something I was eyeing for a while and had dropped a hint or two to my lovely boyfriend. So he got it for me and I use and love every single brush. They’re so soft and easy to use that I just love them, I’m so happy to own them.
E.L.F Metallic Flare highlighter in White Gold
This was something else my lovely man bought me, it was something that he had seen good things about it and thought I’d appreciate it. It’s gorgeous and is the same colour of the Benefit Cookie highlight which I love.
Dose of Colors Desi x Katy Friendcation eyeshadow palette
Also from my partner I got the Dose of Colors Friendcation palette, this is something that I have wanted for such a long time. This is the perfect palette for me as it has beautiful neutral mattes and shimmers plus some pops of colours which I love. I have been adoring the formula and can’t wait to post my review of it for you soon.
Dose of Colors Desi x Katy lipgloss in Over The Top
This is another item from the Desi and Katy collection and it is something I love using, I am a lipgloss girl at heart and this one is perfect. I love that it is clear apart from golden shimmers throughout it. As you may know I’ve been using lipgloss to add a glossy sheen onto my blush and this is just a perfect gloss to use for that.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in Apri-cot In The Middle
Also in this present I received this gorgeous neutral blush which I’ve been wanting to try for a while, I have so many brighter blushes but not many less bright ones. So I’m happy to try this and hope that it works beautifully on me.
Charlotte Tilbury Exaggereyes Eyeshadow Quad
I was so kindly given this eyeshadow quad from Charlotte tilbury and I cannot wait to use it. It was such a generous gift and it feels so special to me because I have never had anything from that brand before and it feels so luxe.
