10 in 10 Months 2020 Project Pan!

Heavily inspired by the likes of TheNewburyGirl, Kelly Gooch and Samantha March, I am going to be doing a bit of a project pan! I am going to be trying to pan and/or finish up 20 products in my makeup collection. Sounds pretty fun right? So I’m going to share some products which will be going in very soon but first I want to create some rules.

  1. This is quite a relaxed project and I just want to make a point to focus on these products
  2. I will be using the products naturally to try use them up or hit pan, I won’t be digging really hard into the pan just to get further in the project.
  3. These will be put into a separate makeup bag which I will use alongside my bi-mostly makeup bag so I will be using both conjunctively.

L’Oreal FreshWear Foundation

This is a foundation which I have loved throughout the entirety of 2019, and so I decided to add it to my bi-monthly makeup bag rotation to get some use out of it again. When I did that I realised how little I truly had left, and so I’ve decided to add this to this project so that I can use it up and get it out of my collection.

Project introduction:

Revolution Conceal and Hydrate concealer

This is a concealer I was SO hyped for in 2019 when it launched but when I ordered what I thought was my perfect shade and it wasn’t perfect I was gutted. However I don’t want to waste it, so I want to finish it up so I can only have products I truly love in my collection. It does work with most foundations and I also use it as a foundation itself, I just don’t find it being the most perfect colour on me.

Project introduction:

Elf Glow Lotion

I bought this glow lotion about 18 months ago and even though over the summers I had been using it so consistently, it hasn’t seen the light of day since. So since I’ve only got about a quarter of it left I would like to focus on it more and get it finished up.

Project introduction:

Benefit Cookie Highlighter

This was my favourite highlight of 2019 (see all of my 2019 beauty favourites here) and I’ve got a significant dent in it so I’d love to see if I could hit pan on it by the end of 2020. It is part a small palette from Benefit which is ADORE and would love to see if I can hit pan on this.

Project introduction:

Benefit Gold Rush Blush

This blush is in the same palette as the cookie highlighter, and even though it’s lovely I don’t reach for it as much as I should. So my goal is to use it enough to hit pan on it so I can get real use of the whole palette.

Project introduction:

Benefit Hula Bronzer

This bronzer is one which can be quite temperamental on my skin tone but when it works I love it. Since I’m wanting to pan the other two products in this palette I thought I might as well add this in too. So I’m going to see how much progress I can make on this palette.

Project introduction:

Colourpop Lunch Money highlighter

This highlight too was part of my best of beauty 2019 post, because it is just the best cream highlight I’ve tried. Colourpop super shock formulas are so unique and this one is beautiful for bare skin, under makeup and on top. I’ve used it loads since I got it earlier in 2019 and want to see if I can finish it up in 2020.

Bare minerals Gloss in California Dreamer

I have had this gloss since Christmas 2018 and it hasn’t really had as much love as it deserves. So in 2020 I want to see if I can use up this entire gloss! I love the formula and the colour because it’s good for natural looks as well as full glam, so let’s see how well I do.

Project introduction:

Colourpop Sweet Talk palette

This was the first Colourpop palette I bought back in my March Makeup Haul post and I’ve loved it so much. However with everything else I own I kinda forget I have it, so I would love to use it up enough that I hit pan on at least one of the shades. It’s a lovely warm toned palette so I’m glad to keep using it and hopefully hit pan in it.

Project introduction:

Revolution Velvet Rose palette

This was the very first palette ever I bought, and it is a neutral brow palette which is very easy to use a lot. I’m hoping to hit pan in at least one shade in 2020 and I can’t wait to keep using it. It’s very easy to blend and also works really well by itself or with other shades. So hopefully I can get enough use out of this palette to hit one pan!

Project introduction:

That is all of my products in my 2020 project pan and I hope that this inspires you to find a few things that you love or want to use up and get loads of use of it. Have you got a project going this year? If not why? What’s your thoughts on project pans?

  1. girl, I LOVE seeing how well loved your makeup is – I think you’re going to have so much success with the items that you chose. I totally agree with your methodology to try to naturally use up the products without digging at them (that is my mindset too). I hate seeing people waste product by aggressively digging or over applying b/c it still wastes products!!

For me, what I’ve noticed so far is that I feel more encouraged to reach for the featured products on a regular basis. Like I use each of the products at least 2-3x a week, whereas previously I might only use certain things 2-3X a month.

    1. Thank you so much! Yeah I don’t want to be aggressive with my products to then say wow look I’ve hit pan on EVERY eye shadow in just a week..it’s just stupid to me. I do love most of the products so I makes it much easier to want to use them. I’m loving seeing the progress on them already and I can’t wait to see how far I get through them before my 3 month update in May!

  2. I loved reading what products you chose for this Project Pan and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a success. It’s a goal of mine too to naturally hit pan and not digging into the product just to hit pan. I actually really like this project, I love that it feels like a real challenge and I see myself grabbing the items I listed. Seeing a dip in a palette or having to squish harder to get the product out gets me so excited nowadays lol!

  3. This is a great post and some great products to try and get finished! It’s so easy to forget about all the lovely items in our make up bag. The foundation sounds fab, I will look out for that myself!

    1. Thank you so much! Yeah it definitely it really can be hard to appreciate all the products you have when you have more than the average person. It is gorgeous and I can’t imagine you not liking it: it’s lightweight, medium coverage, long lasting and not drying AT ALL. Let me know if you try it and what you think!

  4. This is a great set up for your project pan. I’ve considered doing one for a while, but I realize that I get bored of using the same items over and over again, and so what I do instead is swap out palettes! Every so often I make sure to grab an old palette I own and use it for at least a whole week. It allows me to use old palettes, so none of my palettes don’t get some lovin’ every once in a while! Great post and good luck! xxx
