Hello there my spring chickens! If you follow me on Instagram you will see how much I love to talk about my love for spring. So today I’ve decided to share my spring edit and what makeup I’ll be wearing ALL spring.
Spring is the season where the sun is starting to shine again after a cold winter and the flowers are just starting to bloom. So for this season I will be wearing floral tones, pastel tones and glowing low coverage skin. If you want to see my picks for my spring edit then just keep reading.
Weleda Skin Food: The Weleda Skin Food is a moisturising skincare product which hydrates and adds glow to the skin. This product is amazing for spring as it adds a desired glow whilst prepping the skin for the changing weather. It’s a perfect mixture of skincare and makeup!
Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturiser: The Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturiser is the perfect base product for spring as it has a light coverage whilst adding moisture to the skin. It allows the skin to look fresh and renewed as well as having lasting power and a bit of coverage. We want that perfect no makeup makeup look DOWN for spring!
ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer: Earlier this year ELF released a hydrating version of their killer Camo Concealer which was a huge hit. The main gripe with the original Camo concealer was the fact that it was too drying for some people, and they fixed that. This concealer has a satin finish so it is long lasting but also not too drying on the face. It offered a decent amount of coverage whilst looking glowy and natural which is perfect for spring.
Peaches and Cream Cream Contour: Peaches and Cream are an indie brand from the heart of Liverpool who sell incredible products at an affordable price. My favourite product of theirs so far is their cream contour. It is a buildable cream bronzing product which adds dimension and warmth to the face without changing the entire skin tone. It is quite sheer so it can be added in layers depending on your skin tone and the amount of colour you want. So this works really well with skin which is gaining a tan as it can adapt to multiple skin tones.
MUA Blushed Liquid Cream Blushes: As I’ve said in my 2020 Makeup Trends post 2020 is going to be the year of glossy blush and cream blush is the way to go with that. So these cream liquid blushes are going to perfect for spring and summer. I also LOVE cream and liquid blushes as they look so natural and dewy whilst still being long lasting. I’m also going to be going pretty pastel and floral toned with my blushes this spring to match Mother Nature.
Fenty Killawatt Highlighting Duo in Lightening Dust and Fire Crystal: What I love about this highlighting duo is the fact that there are two formulas of very similar shades but one is more subtle and one more blinding. The more subtle tone us great for spring makeup as it is more natural and less glitter will sit on the skin. The more blinding highlight is great for adding more glam to make up and gives you an option to add more glow to a look.
Juvias Place The Warrior II eyeshadow palette: This palette is an all matte palette which has warm spring tones and well as cooler tones for more neutral looks. Matte eyeshadow palettes with more basic tones are perfect for spring as they can give you more natural eye looks or really great bright statement eyes. This palette has really long wearing blendable shades which are perfect for the warmer weather.
Colourpop Sweet Talk Eyeshadow Palette: This palette was Colourpop‘s 2019 Spring Collection palette and it really is the epitome of spring. It has warm browns, mustard and peaches in a mixture of mattes, shimmers, glitters and super shock shadows. It’s what I’ll be wearing all spring long.
Colourpop Supershock Shadows: When doing more natural looks cream shadows such as the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows are PERFECT! They add some base colour to the lid with PLENTY of shimmer. Spring and summer will be when I use the most of my SSS.
ELF Wow Brow Gel: Fluffy brow’s are such a huge trend right now and spring is no exception. In spring as I’ve said I love a natural look, and having a brow geek which holds my brows but also adds colour and thickness. This gel is perfect for it as it adds that natural fullness to a brow but it is long lasting too.
Fenty Glow Gloss Bomb: I will be wearing lipgloss all spring long as it is what looks best on my lips and what’s the most comfortable. The Fenty gloss bombs are the most comfortable and beautiful gloss formula and it will be constantly living in my bag. I LOVE the fact that the Fenty Glow shade has a slight warm pink shade to it as it is such a flattering shade on my lips as it’s very similar to the natural tone of my lips.
Colourpop Just A Tint Lip Tint: Similarly to the gloss the Just A Tint’s are a really comfortable and flattering formula. They are moisturising and give a glossy effect which is perfect for spring.
